3DS MAX MULTI/SUB OBJECT INSTANCING

It’s just understanding how materials in 3ds max work, but it can sometimes still feel like a trick. This “trick” may resolve some of your Multi/Sub-Object (MSOM) troubles. Most often the scenario that you import a .3ds file into 3ds max, and it contains several meshes each with a MSOM but with instanced sub-Standard materials. The next thing you want to do is to change them from Standard to A&D or V-ray materials, once without having to do any copy then paste (instance). For more on this valuable 3ds Max trick go to 3dsmaxrendering.blogspot.com
FREE VRAY RENDERING TUTORIAL SUNLIGHT

Vray is an amazing 3ds max plugin designed to give photoreal 3d renderings and images. This free 3d vray tutorial is for explaining on how to render with sunlight using vray. The idea that has been used to render this scene is: at the outset, use a single SunLight to replicate the outdoor light. In this case, the outdoor sun light is the major light source. Perform a Test render of the 3d scene and add a VRay light to add supplementary light and shadow to the 3d scene. The VRay light is used to imitate the light from outside to give small objects some shadow because the Sunlight and Environment lighting will not provide shadows to small objects.
